If your Magento throws error after installing your Extension and you don't know how to resolve it then you can Disable installed Extension. You can do this by going to your Magento Root Directory and then goto “app/etc/modules”. There you will find your Extension file (XML format), something like that “Excellence_Extensionname.xml”.

To disable it, you can do the following:

  1. Just rename “Excellence_Extensionname.xml” to “Excellence_Extensioname.backup” and you are done.

  2. Or open that file and you will see the content like that:

     <config>
             <modules>
                     <Excellence_Slider>
                         <active>true</active>
                         <codePool>community</codePool>
                     </Excellence_Slider>
             </modules>
     </config>

To disable this extension, change

  <active>true</active>

To

  <active>false</active>

And save the file.

Make sure to refresh magento cache after this. If you unable to access magento admin to disable cache, you can remove all contents inside "var/cache" folder
